Our Mobile UX designer vacancy

InnoValor is a fast-growing fintech company offering its international identity verification solution ReadID to a worldwide market. As such we respond to a growing global demand for digitalized products and services with our innovative and inclusive design solutions. We are currently looking for a UX specialist for at least 32 hours a week that helps us to create a positive impact on people’s daily lives and businesses’ daily functioning.

Our customers integrate ReadID in their customer processes for remote identification, e.g. banks, or face-2-face, e.g. police. ReadID enables identification by using the smartphone’s NFC to read and verify the chip of an identity document, including scanning the document with Optical Character Technology with the smartphone’s camera. ReadID’s success needs ease of use and trust in ReadID. As a Mobile UX Designer you lead the development of the ReadID UX. You design, define best practises, continuously improve and support our customers within the technological boundaries.

Part of your challenge is how to deal with the diversity in identity documents and mobile phones. ReadID uses a combination of low level APIs and high level ones, with user interface and white label apps. The higher level APIs and white label apps include our UX best practises. Trust and conversion are very important, for example how we can guide users through unhappy flows e.g. when reading the document chip fails. Next to this, ReadID faces a high diversity of users. On the one hand there are users that use ReadID on a daily basis, like police officers. On the other hand there are the one-time users, e.g. someone applying for visa.

We are looking for a candidate with (or growing into) a broad range of skills. Although the focus is on mobile UX design, project management and skills that enable communication with (very techy) colleagues as well as customers come in handy.

Your Job

  • You define an continuously improve our UX practice for scanning (OCR) of the identity document and reading the chip, taking user groups and technological opportunities and limitations into account.
  • You communicate our best pracises both internally and externally by means of whitepapers and training.
  • You support our mobile development team during implementation of the best practise in our SDKs and white label apps
  • You provide UX advice to our customers, including optimisation of conversion. This requires contacting a diversity of international customers and communication in English.
  • You evaluate our UX with thorough user studies. Additionally with quantitative analyses of user data gathered through our own apps and our ReadID Analytics with anonymous user data.
  • You are part of a successful cooperation with the development team.

As a Mobile UX designer you will be joining our multinational highly skilled team of developers that cover various disciplines and technologies. Although each developer brings his or her own perspectives and specialities, we consider development a joint effort. We belief that close cooperation is the key to a high quality product offering. Our developers take pride in contributing to a product offering with impact on society. Cooperation is facilitated by our friendly working environment and flat and informal local based structure. Ideas for solutions are brought to the table by everyone and jointly discussed and explored. Furthermore, we have a very diverse and multinational customer base with their specific (technological) challenges, hence never a dull moment.
